Another Weekend Gone...

Wow, time truly flies by! How can the weekend already be over? We had a fun one, even though it was fast. Friday night we went to Red Elephant with the Pope family (Jill, Bert, Kent, Mama K, Pop and Aunt Chris) yep, the whole family. Sat. morning I got some 1 on 1 time with Mabes while daddy was at church, then I had some mommy time and enjoyed some "sista"ship with some girlfriends at a baby shower while daddy had 1 on 1 time with Mabry, then we had a laid back family afternoon with football, car washing and an errand or 2. Today was again laid back after a great morning at church. Andy and I went to our Sunday School classes for the first time and then went to the worship service as family. Mabry loved the music...clapping and waving her hands! (Then she went back to the nursery). After church we had lunch with dad and Gaye and then Mabry headed to g-mommies for a g-mommy fix. Andy mowed the lawn, I read and sewed, it was so nice. Finished off with a yummy dinner at my moms. I am feeling rested for the week to come.

Hopefully I will have pictures soon from OBLO's wedding. I forgot to get the camera from moms tonight.

CONGRATS OBLO!!!

Hey friends!
Yes, I am a blog slacker! I really do want to update my family and friends, but where does the time go? We just got im from a quick trip to ATL for a great friends wedding. OBLO is his name, pronounced "Hablo" which I think is "I speak" in Spanish. No, that is not his real name, it is Ryan :-) Oblo was one of my brothers best friends I think since high school. Oblo has always been a part of the Drew clan just as about 1/2 the "boys" at the wedding were. We (mom, Mabes, Andy and I) are super excited to have celebrated with the newlyweds. But just as any event with all Mitch's buddies, it was very hard. Very hard. I just envision Mitch standing, laughing, talking, talking and probably a little more talking with all of his old guy friends. That group of guys are fun, they are all spread out but have remained such good friends, there are not many groups of guys who love each other so well. Of course in a guy sort of way. I tried to take a million pictures with my shotty camera, ended up using moms...I try so hard to capture every moment of life on camera, sometimes I probably miss the actual event because I am taking pictures. But I never know when it is going to be the last time I will see someone, so I feel I must snap away. It is actually pretty sad. I might have to start leaving my camera in the car. Anyway...the weekend was great, the wedding was beautiful, the car ride - Mabry was a champ, mom in the back helped with that! We got to visit with Leah and little Edward and all of her family, Mr. and Mrs Dinkins, Jacob, Geraldine and their little Gus. We also got to see Mitch's old Jeepster! It was so fun to see something he loved and worked on and loved and worked on. I cannot believe Jacob and his family drove 3+ hours to ATL in it! I will post some pictures of Mabry in it later. Time to unload the rest of the bags and head to moms for dinner. Taylor is driving through town and wouldn't miss the opportunity to see one of my little deesters!
Hope everyone is doing well!

Love,
:-) L.A.
